Proposed policy targeting Jews: on 13 August 2024 Dar al-Ifta, Libya's state-funded religious authority, issued a ruling (Decision 2 of 1446) calling on the state to strip citizenship from, and confiscate the property of, Jews living in Muslim countries who join the Israeli army. It is a religious ruling, not law, and no enforcement has been found. In 2023 the head of the General Authority of Endowments and Islamic Affairs wrote of "the danger of Jews".
